Why Craft Hut?

Back in January or so I checked a book out of the library about Appalachian women who wove exquisite coverlets using gigantic homemade floor looms (I'll be more specific when I find the name). According to the book, these looms were usually so big that they were kept and worked upon in a separate building near the house. These were often called weaving sheds, loom houses, or whatever. So I started teasing Mark that I expected to have my own place for my crafts. And somehow we started calling it a craft hut. Obviously a real craft hut will never be practical so I decided to call my blog Craft Hut.

Now you know.

Button Magnets

button magnets A while back I saw some button push pins at How About Orange... and decided to make magnets instead. I used 7/8" buttons, 3/4" magnets, and some fabric scraps.

I ripped the shank off with pliers and assembled the button according to the package directions. Then I just glued the magnet onto the back.

Purpose

I just thought I'd start this blog because I keep getting requests for pictures of things I've made.
